In 1911, Henri Pequet was selected by the French aircraft designer Louis Paulhan to fly a Farman biplane at the first-ever Indian aviation meeting held in Allahabad. This event, known as the 1911 All India Aviation Meet, marked the beginning of aviation activities in India.

One of the notable achievements of Henri Pequet was his airmail flight on 18 February 1911. He carried around 6,500 letters and postcards from Allahabad to Naini, covering a distance of about 10 kilometers. This marked the first instance of airmail in India.

Henri Pequet's contributions to early aviation in India were pioneering, and he played a role in demonstrating the potential of aviation for communication and transportation. His airmail flight is considered a historic event in the development of aviation in the Indian subcontinent.
