Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, also known as Tiger Pataudi, was an Indian cricketer and one of the country's most successful cricket captains. He was born on 05 January 1941, in Bhopal, British India. Pataudi played as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium bowler. He made his Test debut for India at the age of 21 in 1961.

Pataudi captained the Indian cricket team in 40 Test matches, making him the youngest captain in the history of Indian cricket at the time, as he took over the captaincy at the age of 21. Despite losing vision in one eye due to an injury, he continued to play cricket at the highest level.

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi married Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore, and their son, Saif Ali Khan, later became a well-known actor in the Indian film industry.

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi passed away on 22 September 2011, at the age of 70. His contributions to Indian cricket and his legacy as a captain and player are remembered in the history of the sport in India.
