St. George is the patron saint of England, and St. George's Day is often
considered England's national day. It falls on April 23rd, but its
observance has historically been more subdued compared to the
celebrations of other patron saint days in the United Kingdom, such as
St. Patrick's Day for Ireland and St. Andrew's Day for Scotland.
