Matsya Jayanti, also known as Matsya Avatar Jayanti, is a Hindu festival that commemorates the appearance of Lord Vishnu in his Matsya (fish) incarnation. According to Hindu mythology, Matsya Avatar is the first of the ten incarnations (avatars) of Lord Vishnu.
