Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister of India for the first
time on May 16, 1996. However, his tenure was short-lived as he resigned
after 13 days, on May 28, 1996, after failing to gather enough support
to form a stable government. Later, he served as the Prime Minister for
