Golda Meir was born on 03 May 1898, and she passed away on 08 December 1978. She became the fourth Prime Minister of Israel on 17 March 1969.
She was the first and, to date, the only woman to hold this position in
Israel. Golda Meir served as Prime Minister until 1974. During her
tenure, she faced significant challenges, including the aftermath of the
Six-Day War, tensions with neighboring Arab states, and economic
issues. Golda Meir was known for her strong leadership, commitment to
Zionism, and efforts to secure Israel's place in the international
community. Her leadership during a critical period in Israel's history
has earned her respect and admiration both domestically and
internationally.
