15 March - Don Bradman received his knighthood in 1949
On 15 March 1949, Cricket's master batsman Don Bradman received his knighthood from the Governor-General of Australia, the Rt Hon. WJ McKell at the investiture in Queen’s Hall, Parliament House, Melbourne.
