Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose was born on November 30, 1858, and he passed
away on November 23, 1937. He was a renowned Indian scientist,
physicist, biologist, biophysicist, and botanist who made significant
contributions to various fields. Bose is particularly known for his work
in the area of plant science and for demonstrating that plants and
animals share much in common in their physiological processes. He is
also credited with the development of the crescograph, a device for
measuring plant growth.
