Titus Flavius Vespasianus, commonly known as Titus, was a Roman Emperor
who ruled from 79 to 81 AD. He was the elder son of Emperor Vespasian
and became emperor after his father's death. Titus is best known for
completing the construction of the Flavian Amphitheatre, known as the
Colosseum, in Rome. His short reign was marked by the eruption of Mount
Vesuvius, which destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum.
