Grover Cleveland was sworn in as the 22nd President of the United States
on March 4, 1885. He served two non-consecutive terms, making him both
the 22nd and 24th President. After his first term from 1885 to 1889, he
was succeeded by Benjamin Harrison. However, Cleveland ran for president
again in 1892 and won, returning to the office and serving his second
term from 1893 to 1897. This makes him the only U.S. president to serve
two non-consecutive terms.
